Suspect in Custody after Attempted Massacre in Monsey, NY

An attempted massacre at a Rabbi’s home, during a Hanukkah celebration, ended with five people being sent to the hospital. The attack occurred on Friday night, the seventh night of Hanukkah, in the town of Monsey, in Rockland County, New York.  Reports indicated that the suspect entered the home and began attacking victims with a large knife or a machete. The suspect was later arrested in Harlem, and will be arraigned on  Sunday on charges including attempted murder and and burglary.
